Keep it Green

Blue Hawaii LifeStyle’s dedication to green living is evident in the Café. Take out cups and utensils are all made from corn, rather than petroleum, and are therefore compostable. The liner in our paper hot cups is also corn-derived, resulting in a compostable cup. This is in contrast to the industry-standard petro-liner, which will not biodegrade or compost. At Blue Hawaii LifeStyle, we also collect plastics and bottles used in the store so that they can be taken to the recycling center. In addition, our carry out bags are made from 40% post-consumer waste paper, which aids in minimizing the amount of material that end up being thrown away after a single use.
